Many patients do not realise that most eye diseases develop without symptoms. Conditions like glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration usually progress so slowly that the individual does not notice any change to their vision until significant permanent damage has been done.
The best way to maintain healthy eyes is through annual eye exams.
Toronto Centre Eye Care’s adult eye exams were designed specifically to detect early symptoms of eye disease; empowering us to treat them more quickly and effectively. Take a proactive approach to eye health and request your appointment today.
After your eye exam is complete, why not take a moment to peruse our dispensary? We carry some of the world’s most reputable eyewear brands, including Ray Ban, Hugo Boss, and Versace. Our optical staff will happily make recommendations based on your colouring, face shape, and personal style.
Toronto Centre Eye Care offers rigid contact lenses. Whether it is to lessen the effect of dry eye, or to give you a more comfortable fit; speciality contact lenses can serve a variety of purposes beyond simply correcting your vision. Request a contact lens exam today and ask us what speciality contact lenses could benefit you.
If it is your first visit with us, we will need you to give us some information. You will be asked to fill out some paperwork detailing your current medications, medical history, and other basic information. We also ask that you bring your OHIP card, any insurance provider information, and your current glasses, and contact lenses with their case.
This only pertains to your first appointment; once we have it all on file, we most likely will not need to ask you for it again.
Using a combination of advanced technologies and simple tests, we will determine the functionality of your eyes. This includes field of vision, focus ability, acuity, eye teaming, and peripheral vision. This will help us determine whether your eyes require correction or not.
With our excellent array of diagnostic technology, we will look at the interior of the eye; closely inspecting it for any indication of vision hampering conditions such as keratoconus and cataracts, or diseases with the potential to induce blindness such as age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma. Before the exam is complete, we will always take the time to discuss our findings with you; covering any questions or concerns you may have. It is important to us that you understand the current state of your eye health.
We would like to make your visit with us as simple and convenient as possible. This is why we offer direct billing with the following providers:
