Activity Outline

Envision Eye Centre is a boutique ophthalmic practice with locations in the heart of Sydney's CBD and Darlinghurst. Join us on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, for an engaging evening of clinical insight and discussion over a full buffet dinner, including dessert. 
Presentations on the evening will be delivered by our leading ophthalmologists, including our director Dr John Males, Dr Elias Kehdi, Dr Deepa Viswanathan and Dr Capucine Odouard.   • Establlish a protocol for examining patients post operatively to assess for post operative complications with intraocular and corneal laser refractive sugery
  • Discuss what are the warning signs to look out for on the phone to suggest a patient needs to be seen urgently
  • Develop a plan for typical changes to postoperative management to deal with post operative issues
  • Discuss a strategy for determining urgency of referral to the treating surgeon
  • Discuss typical outcomes for common post operative complications
  • Discuss corneal dystrophies
  • Describe role of phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) in corneal dystrophies
  • Review Fuch's Endothelial Dystrophy
  • Describe updates on Descemet's stripping only (DSO)
  • Discuss the future of injectable endothelial cell therapy
  • Discuss the role of cornea in cataract surgery
  • Discuss the role of keratoconus, corneal scars and dry eyes and Fuch's endothelial dystrophy in refractive surgery and management
  • Obtain a better understanding of available techniques and instruments involving cataract Surgery
  • Obtain a better understanding of complications involving cataract surgery
  • Prepare for complex cataracts during examination and surgical planning
