Activity Outline

This CPD evening opens with two ophthalmologist led presentations covering separate clinical topics. The second half shifts into hands on interactive workshop stations, giving attendees the chance to rotate through both sessions and actively participate.

• One workshop features a live gonioscopy demonstration, along with demo eyes fitted with various MIGS placed in the angles. Participants examine the angles, locate each device, and identify it.

• The other workshop provides a live demonstration of loading IOLs and includes discussion of EDOF lenses. Attendees can practice folding, loading, and ejecting IOLs themselves.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe current glaucoma management strategies, including the role and application of surgical interventions such as MIGS and laser therapies. This is guided by both a presentation and live hands on experience with different MIGS.
  • Understand the assessment and management of cataracts, including IOL selection, lens technologies, and the clinical considerations that guide appropriate IOL recommendations for individual patients. This is guided by both a presentation and live hands on experience with different IOLs.
