Activity Outline
On Monday 23rd March 2026, the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences will host its first Seeing Beyond event in 2026, “An Eye on Colour!”.
This event will feature a plenary lecture about the latest colour vision research from Dr Amanda Douglass, Lecturer in our Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences. This will be followed by presentations by Dr John Parkes (occupational and environmental physician), focused on the importance of paediatric colour vision testing, and Dr Jingjing Lin, one of our PhD candidates who is undertaking novel exploration of colour vision in people with neurodegenerative disease.
Please arrive for light refreshments at 6pm, with lectures beginning in the auditorium at 630pm. The event has been approved for 1 hour of clinical CPD.
